European Information & Communications Technology Industry Association DIGITALEUROPE (at that time called EICTA), European Committee of Domestic Equipment Manufacturers (CECED) and European Electronics Recyclers Association (EERA) have developed a common understanding of information needs on equipment characteristics relevant for end of life treatment. Consequently, the above mentioned associations jointly proposed a guidance in implementing Article 11 of the EU Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

DIGITALEUROPE, CECED and EERA have established the conditions for a sustained dialogue between producers and recyclers based on agreed items of interest for a better handling of WEEE.

JVC contributes via above-mentioned association DIGITALEUROPE as well as national recycling schemes and treatment operators to a constructive and sustained dialogue to discuss past and future technology trends. This ensures an environmentally friendly re-use, recycling and recovery of our products.

JVC provides, upon request from a recycler dealing with one of our equipment put on the market after August 13th 2005, information on “positive presence” of materials and components.
